Eloise Catherine Dove, 90, of Alpena, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2009, at Tendercare/Alpena.

Eloise, a lifelong resident of Alpena, was born June 4, 1918 to the late Leonard and Gertrude (Duchene) Dove. She retired in 1981 from McCrory's, where she had worked for over 31 years. She loved traveling with her siblings and saw many beautiful sights. Eloise took great pride in her flowers and spent many hours working to make it just right. She also spent much time with her gal pals playing cards and bingo. In her last years she turned to painting and everyone was thrilled at the results.

Eloise was a faithful member of the Trinity Episcopal Church.

Surviving are a niece, Sandra (Thomas) Helinski of Livonia; and 2 nephews, John (Rose Mary) Jackowiak of Alpena, and Craig (Ellie) Dove of Portage.

Preceding her in death were 2 brothers, Donald and Leonard Dove, and a sister, Vivian Jackowiak.

Visitation will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12 noon with Rev. Bruce Michaud officiating. Arrangements by Bannan Funeral Home.
