Hilda Elizabeth Connon, 78, of Clarkston and formerly of Alpena, passed away at home on Tuesday, March 31, 2009.

Hilda, the daughter of the late Russell and Florence (Coombs) VanSipe was born in Alpena on March 10, 1931 and married Clarence Connon on September 12, 1951.

Surviving are her husband, Clarence; daughters, Susan (Mrs. Charles) Fisher of Lake Orion, Diane Poulin of Lake Orion; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brother, Richard (Mary) VanSipe of Gladstone; and sisters, Frances Morse and Mabel Douglas both of Florida.

Preceding her in death was a sister, Gladys Meredith.

Friends may call at the Bannan Funeral Home in Alpena Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of memorial service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Larry Kirby officiating.
