Beverly Dawn Carstens, 54, of 10856 U. S. 23 South, Ossineke, passed away at Alpena Regional Medical Center on Monday, November 2, 2009.

Beverly was born in Petoskey on October 7, 1955 to Edward and Beverly Zoe (Burnett) Stanek and married Aldor Carstens on July 14, 1988.

She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church. Bev enjoyed riding her Harley, working in her flower garden, and woodworking with her husband.

Surviving are her husband, Al; 3 children, Christine and Sean Shanahan of Kalamazoo, Terry Noble II of Ossineke, Laura Noble of Ossineke; 4 grandchildren, Annalee Noble, Zoe Shanahan, Edi Shanahan, Anna Noble; her parents, Ed and Zoe Stanek of Alpena; 3 sisters, Charlotte and husband Lloyd Williams, Annette and husband Robert Leopard, Valerie Stanek and husband Moon-Hyun Chu; and the rest of the Carstens family.

Mrs. Carstens is at the Bannan Funeral Home where family and friends may call on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. Visitation will continue Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Hope Lutheran Church with Rev. Herbert Kitzman officiating.
