Andrew John Burkett, 16, of Lutsk, Ukraine and formerly of DeWitt, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2009, in Ukraine.

Andrew was born February 7, 1993 in Lansing to Herbert and Kimberly (Sangster) Burkett.

He is survived by his parents, 2 brothers, Joshua and Jacob Burkett; 1 sister, Ashley Burkett; grandmothers, Garnet Burkett, Charlotte Sangster; great-grandfather, Virgil Lowe; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Preceding him in death were grandparents, Francis Burkett and George and Yvonne Sangster.

Visitation will be held at the Northpointe Community Church, 505 E. Webb Drive, DeWitt, on Wednesday 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and Thursday from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 4 p.m. with the Reverend Kevin Barnheart officiating. Burial will take place Friday at 3 p.m. in Cass City.
