Leonard Ralph Boboltz, 95, of 2081 U. S. 23 South, Alpena, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2009, at Alpena Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Boboltz was born October 1, 1913 in Sanborn Twp. to the late Ralph and Albertina (Brilinski) Boboltz and married Leona P. Werth October 12, 1939 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Herron with the Rev. Harry Schultz officiating. Leona preceded him in death April 16, 2002. Mr. Boboltz had been employed at Huron Portland Cement Company as a master mechanic for 40 years, retiring in 1976.

He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and enjoyed much of his free time golfing.

Surviving are 2 daughters, Juliana Specht and Donald Pettenger of Alpena, Janice Boboltz and James Stafford of Alpena; 2 grandchildren, Deborah Cabadas of Clarkston, Pamela (John) Guld of Plymouth; 4 great-grandchildren, Nicholas Glud, Kaytlyn Glud, Allison Glud, Emily Cabadas; 1 brother, Alfred (Anna Mae) of Alpena; and 1 sister, Lenore Weigand of Plymouth.

Preceding him in death were a sister, Evelyn Parfitt; and 5 brothers, Art, Fred, Carl, Clarence and Richard.

Mr. Boboltz is at the Bannan Funeral Home where family and friends may call on Saturday from 4-8 p.m. Visitation will continue Sunday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Alpena from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Rodney Haselhuhn officiating
