Lawrence Lee Beitler, age 61, of 7176 Scott Road, Hubbard Lake passed away Friday, July 17, at Sally’s Care Home of Alpena. He was born February 22, 1948 in Detroit to Walter and Hilma (Schultz) Beitler. At the age of one, Lawrence moved with his parents to Hubbard Lake.

Following graduation from Alpena High School in 1966, he joined the U. S. Army and served from April 10, 1967 until April 9, 1970 serving one year in Vietnam and 15 months in Germany. Lawrence enjoyed the woods and outdoors while hunting and fishing.

Surviving are his mother, Hilma and sister-in-law, Tamyra Beitler and numerous aunts and uncles. Preceding him in death were his father, Walter and a brother, Alan.

Lawrence is at the Bannan Funeral Home where family and friends may call today from 12:00 Noon until time of Service at 2:00 P.M. with the Reverend Laraine Sundin officiating. Interment will follow in Hubbard Lake Cemetery with Military Honors provided by V.F.W. Post 6754 Spruce, Michigan.
