Lucy Florence Avery, 94, of 1115 Wayne Road, Alpena, passed away at Tendercare/Alpena on Thursday, October 8, 2009.

On August 21, 1915 Lucy was born in Bolton to the late Ernest and Clara (Kingsbury) Hall. She married Victor Hahn on May 20, 1939, and he preceded her in death on July 16, 1972. On October 11, 1975 Lucy married Orville Avery, and he passed away March 16, 1992.
Surviving are 2 sons, Terry (Gerri) Hahn of Alpena, Darwin Hahn of Indiana; 2 daughters, Vinetta (Fred) Frary of Alpena, Noreen Frary of Flint; 9 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Ed and Mary Avery, Beatrice and Wayne Rohde, Gertrude and Martin Schleben, Gary and Donna Avery; daughter-in-law, Mable Avery; and son-in-law, Carl Kreft.
Preceding her in death were a stepson, Orville; stepdaughter, Lucille Kreft; 7 sisters; and 4 brothers.
Mrs. Avery is at the Bannan Funeral Home where family and friends may call on Friday from 2-8 p.m. On Saturday visitation will continue at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Posen from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. David Sleath officiating.
